Tweet. Meet. Give.

This year Twestival is going 'Local' in cities around the world on Thursday 24 March 2011. Events for Twestival Local will raise funds and awareness for local nonprofits that organizers identify for having an incredible impact within their own community. 

I am so excited for this year's Twestival! I have sent off our registration, and requested that we give to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina.  This is an organization that not only makes a huge difference in our community, but has successfully used Twitter to increase their support.

At this time, we have just 2 months to get organized for our most successful Twestival yet.  I would like to have us meet as soon as possible so we can get the ball rolling and start publicizing the event.

We will have two meeting times this week.  Tuesday January 25th  and Thursday January 27th at 10am I will be at Buenaspace at 27 N Front St. to meet with anyone who is available.  From there we will schedule future meetings and begin assigning tasks.  Please share this with others who you think would like to help and begin brainstorming ideas and possible sponsors.
